Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany; the server location is Germany. STRATO processes on our behalf the data generated when the website is visited and the e-mails created through our forms. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in a secure and efficient operation of the website.
Server log files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider, STRATO GmbH, automatically collects information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. Host name and IP address are anonymised in the log files for privacy reasons; the log files are available at STRATO for the last six weeks. This data cannot be assigned to specific persons and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website.
Visitor statistics without cookies
We count visits to this website with a simple statistics tool of our own, running on our server — without cookies, without an external service and without passing data on. We count page views, the number of visitors per day, the pages visited, the origin (only the domain of the referring page), the type of device (phone, tablet, computer), the language of the page and clicks on “Book a table”, “Book a room” and on phone, e-mail and WhatsApp links. Your IP address is not stored. So that a visitor counts only once a day, a code is formed from the IP address, the browser identifier and a random value that changes every day; it is kept only for the current day and deleted afterwards, so that no link to individual visitors can be made later. We keep the daily totals for 25 months. Search engines and other robots are not counted, nor are browsers that send “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of the website. On the operator’s own devices the administration area may set a notice cookie so that our own visits are not counted.
Contact and enquiry forms
If you contact us via a form on this website, the data you enter is stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for any follow-up questions — by e-mail in our mailbox and additionally in a non-public area of this website (administration), so that no enquiry gets lost. There it is deleted automatically after 90 days. The e-mail to our mailbox is transmitted via the mail servers of our host (STRATO GmbH). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to the preparation of a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR on the basis of your consent. We do not pass this data on without your consent. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
Fonts and external content
This website loads all fonts and images from its own server. No Google Fonts, tracking services or advertising networks are used. No cookies are set for analysis or marketing purposes.
Assistant and notice window
The “Questions?” speech bubble at the bottom right is an assistant that works without any external service and without artificial intelligence. When first opened, your browser loads two files from our own server (the content of the pages as well as the current opening hours and menu). The questions you type are evaluated exclusively in your browser; they are not transmitted to us or to third parties. The conversation is kept in your browser’s memory (sessionStorage) for the duration of your visit and deleted when you close the browser. If a notice window appears on the home page, your browser remembers locally (localStorage) that you have closed it, so that it does not appear again, and likewise whether you have already opened this week’s lunch menu (the small dot on the icon then disappears); this information does not leave your device. Both are necessary for the website to function and set no cookies. The display mode (dark or light) you choose is also stored locally in your browser.
Room booking and table reservation
For room bookings we use the booking system DIRS21 of TourOnline AG. The booking engine opens as a window (embedded frame, iframe) above our page only when you click “Book a room” or press “Check availability” in the search bar — no connection to DIRS21 is made before that. Your IP address and browser data are transmitted to TourOnline AG in the process; within the frame you decide on the provider’s own cookies. For table reservations we use the service OpenTable. This also opens as a window above our page and is loaded only when you click “Book a table”; your IP address and browser data are transmitted to OpenTable in the process, and within the frame the provider’s privacy policy and cookie settings apply. If you choose “New window” in these windows, you leave our website. The links to Google Maps, to our WhatsApp channel and to wagnercatering.de, on the other hand, open the respective provider’s page directly; its privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to rectification, restriction, portability or deletion of this data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — for Bavaria, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht).
SSL encryption
For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://”.
